Exclusive Fully Hands-on Lookchoob Workshop (only at ArtZ Baking & Culinary Studio) by Veteran Native Thai Culinary Instructor

Our Thai instructor has finetuned the techniques to create these exquisite realistic miniature fruits & vegetables. Having stayed in Singapore for the last 20 years, she is well-attuned to our local taste buds/preferences for a less-sweet and healthier choice! Hence, the sweetness, taste & texture is just right for most Singaporeans.

Thai Exquisite Dessert – Lookchoob / Lup Chuk (Workshop !)

  • Each piece of miniature fruit and vegetable is exquisitely handcrafted to give them a very realistic look. No molds will be used during the workshop.
  • Learn how to create the various shapes of this exquisite Thai Dessert, Lookchoob / Lup Chuk
  • Learn how to make the bean paste & glossy coating from scratch
  • Various Colouring / Painting Techniques will be shared. Very Little Colouring is used & special techniques will be taught how to colour them with very little colouring, yet colours are vibrant and realistic.
  • Fruits & Vegetables Stems / Leaves – Various Techniques

LookChoob / Lup Chuk Workshop 1:

Student will learn 12 kinds of fruits/vegetables.

  1. A branch of Green or Red Grapes (20 to 25 pcs)
  2. Red and Green Chili
  3. Carrot
  4. Papaya
  5. Orange
  6. Peach
  7. Cherry
  8. Gooseberry
  9. Jambu
  10. Snow Pea
  11. Mango
  12. Mangosteen

Each Student will be given 300g of bean paste to work on during the workshop plus bring home 200g+ paste to bring home for practice. Each Student can learn at your own pace.

Students on average can achieve 44 pieces (in total for 11 types of fruits) + 1 bunch of 20+ red or green grapes (Total: about 65 – 70 pcs). Paste given to is more than sufficient to make 20 to 25 pcs of grapes & 4 pcs each of the 11 different fruits & vegetables (Items 2 to 12).

If time permits, students who work fast can continue working on their remaining paste to create more miniature fruits & vegetables.

Students will bring home the leftover paste from workshop for further practice. Storage in Freezer: 3 months
